While helping to manage and coordinate several statewide programs for the Government & Economic Development Institute of Auburn University, Alex saw firsthand the importance of education programs designed specifically for working professionals. These programs, like the Alabama Property Tax Education Program, not only provided those professionals with opportunities to further their careers but provided value back to the communities in which those professionals worked and served. Alex was awarded his M.Ed. in Adult Education from Auburn University in 2021. He has developed, coordinated, and instructed training programs and conferences for the Government & Economic Development Institute, the University of Alabama in Huntsville, the Economic Development Association of Alabama, the Alabama Department of Revenue, and VUTEQ. He has consulted on education or delivered presentations for the Auburn Area Community Theatre, the OSHER Lifelong Learning Institute, Redstone Government Consulting, CyberBrews, and North Alabama SHRM amongst others. Alex has contributed to the Huntsville Business Journal for over a year as an expert opinion writer in the field of workforce development. He enjoys theater, karaoke, and is the proud father of a three-legged dog named Dee Dee.
